We’ve started a weekly bake-off in our office. For this day and age, where fewer people cook (let alone bake) than ever before, there were surprisingly no shortage of volunteers. We’ve been lucky enough to have tried some gooey chocolate brownies, a melt in your mouth lemon drizzle cake, a banana loaf or two and some oatmeal nut crunch cookies. Mondays have never tasted so good!

It’s getting quite competitive too – we even have a chart and a scoring system. But aside from the opportunity for some healthy competition, the chance to share such lovingly prepared treats is enjoyed by all – what better way is there to spread some home baked affection throughout the floor? Incidentally, our in house catering team is called ‘Food Is Love’ – and it really is.

The only worry we have now is that these calorific treats are starting to affect our waistlines. Our perfect holiday bikini bodies are slowly slipping away from us. Oh well, they were never perfect to begin with. A few extra lunchtime gym sessions perhaps? Maybe after just another slice of cake…
